CHRIST OF CORCOVADO TOUR EXPRESS

After the pick-up, the tour of Corcovado (704 meters) and the largest national icon - Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro - starts on the beach of Copacabana or Ipanema. Continuing along the beach of Botafogo and passing through the Guanabara Palace, the official residence of the Governor, on the way to the districts of Laranjeiras and Cosme Velho, where you can still see the old houses belonging to the coffee plantations of the decade 1800. The tour reaches the Tijuca Forest, with a stop at the Paineiras station where vehicles that lead to the top of Corcovado in the Tijuca National Park is transhipped. The visit to the monument takes about 45 minutes.



On the way back, we see the "Largo do Boticario" and "Casa dos Abacaxis" (melhor acho náo translatere nomes) - relics of imperial architecture in Brazil and crossing through the neighborhood Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas back to Copacabana to end hotels.



Note: In case of poor visibility at the top of Corcovado, we make an alternative stop on the Mirante Dona Marta (362m), usually less affected by cloud cover.
